KippsDeSanto advises Action Manufacturing Company on its sale to Ignium

MCLEAN, VA — KippsDeSanto served as the exclusive Sell-Side Financial Advisor to Action Manufacturing Company (“Action” or the “Company”) on its acquisition by Ignium LLC (“Ignium”).

Founded in 1946, Action is a leading supplier of fuzing and target-sensing ordnance supporting U.S. Department of War and international allied priorities across precision strike, counter-UAS and long-range fires. Action designs and manufactures fuzes, safe and arm devices, ordnance electronics and energetic components for artillery, mortar, rocket and precision munitions programs. The Company operates military-qualified, certified production facilities in Bristol and Atglen, Pennsylvania, and Columbia, Maryland. Its end-to-end capabilities span RF and electronic design, precision machining, energetics loading, final assembly and MIL-STD-331 and MIL-STD-1316 qualification testing.

Action’s integrated portfolio serves as a primary supplier to the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, foreign military sales and major defense prime contractors across more than 30 countries. As an established producer in the U.S. munitions defense industrial base, Action controls its core design architectures to deliver maximum safety and mission reliability.

This acquisition highlights critical investment drivers across defense technology and tactical ordnance M&A markets:

- Demand for established manufacturing footprints: Capital deployment continues to favor scaled, certified production capacity aligned with policy-driven efforts to rebuild the domestic defense industrial base.

- Embedded positioning on Programs of Record: Significant valuation premiums remain attached to primary contractor positions backed by long-term U.S. Department of War and allied contract visibility.

- Scarcity of specialized engineering talent: Buyers prioritize mission-critical defense suppliers possessing proprietary design architectures, qualified energetics loading infrastructure and long-standing military customer relationships.
