AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV) has acquired Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc., a provider of Unmanned Aircraft Systems ("UAS") and Advanced Air Mobility ("AAM") platforms within commercial aerospace and defense markets. The transaction is valued at $200 million.
F.T. Gearing Systems Limited, a subsidiary of G.S. Precision, Inc. and portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners, LP, has acquired Lush Heat Treatment Limited, a provider of heat treatments, including vacuum and endothermic processing, for a wide range of materials within commercial aerospace, defense, and other commercial markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
